What do you like about your career?
This career is an opportunity for me to learn new things. Every day I discover many types of technology, many different problems to solve as well as a lot of new technical knowledge to learn, it’s all at customer site. However, not only technical thing that I have learned, but this job has also strengthened my communication skills by talking directly to customers to understand the root of problem in order to give them an appropriate solution.
It is also challenging for me. Sometimes, when making a technical support appointment with customers, I get informed that I can only have 1 hour or some limited time to resolve their issue. Therefore, I need to plan before arriving there. I have to think ‘what would possibly be the actual problem?’ by looking at the information I received from customer and come up with some solutions before the appointment.
What is your goal at KEYENCE?
I would like to grow up in this career and be a person who is knowledgeable and experienced enough to spread it out to KEYENCE members. I hope that new members can use my experience as one of their additional learning tools to develop their own knowledge and skill. Because, from only reading the manuals, they cannot always learn some unexpected issues that happen on customers site.
Moreover, even though I am a Technical & Consulting Engineer, technical knowledge is not the only thing that I would like to have. My individual goal is to develop my sales skills as much as possible so that I can talk to customer or negotiate with them smoothly. With this development, one day I wish I can also help the company to increase sales opportunities somehow and be a part to support the company’s growth.
What do you like about KEYENCE?
I like how systematic the company is. Everything is neat. Everyone has their own responsibilities and does their best. The system in the company allows us to reach each other easily and the sales application provided is also a very effective tool for us to track customers' activities, see the sales histories and contact customers easily.
Colleagues at KEYENCE are also very nice. In my department, we can talk to each other freely without any barriers. No matter what the issue is, we consult and help each other out. This supportive environment is really comfortable for me.
